How do you create the 1% envelope on the moving average? I had to set it for 300 days to do 10 month ma but beyond that I can't figure out how to create it. And is the envelope above and below the ma?

Jared,
Do you want to know how to create the envelope using FreeStockCharts.com or StockCharts.com? They both have different ways of doing it.

1. Change the time frame from daily to monthly 2. Go to "add indicator" and add the moving average indicator to the price history. 3. Go to "edit" and change to 10 4. Go to add indicator and add an "envelope channel." 5. Edit the "period" to 1.00 and edit the "std dev" to 1.00
The moving average is in the middle of the envelope. The upper edge of the envelope will be 1% higher than the moving average. The lower edge will be 1% lower than the moving average.
Let me know if it doesn't work.

Thanks. It was the std dev that was throwing me off b/c I didn't realize that was based on % of price. I love the freestockcharts service. I use ichimoku almost exclusively and its intraday update is the only one around. I also recently went to one of the Worden free seminars and their software looks excellent. I'll be subscribing soon.

Yeah, the Worden guys have been around a long time and do great work. You won't regret it. I just discovered FreeStockCharts a few months ago. And for most people it's all they need. It's fast. It's real time. And it's free. Hard to beat.
